Timberline Photos was founded because of my enjoyment of nature and wildlife.  Hiking in the back country or a National Park, gives us the opportunity to study and photograph nature at its purest.  Living in the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains affords me this opportunity to share with you the beauty of nature. 

If you enjoy the outdoors and observing or photographing wildlife, please keep in mind that no photograph is worth disturbing the safety of the animal or yourself.  Study the warning signals of the animals you wish to observe and give them a wide berth.  Never force the action, these animals are NOT tame, regardless of how cuddly or docile they appear.  For some, however, the sight of a bull elk or a bison grazing on the open plains, is just too overwhelming.  The experience is so overpowering that some lose sight that these are wild creatures.  Sadly, I have witnessed some foolish human behavior in their attempt to photograph these wild creatures.  Approaching a 1100 lb. bull elk within 10 ft., snapping a shot and having the flash go off is not only foolish, but downright dangerous.  I have witnessed adults get out of their cars, and walk to within 10 feet of a bison herd, in an attempt to get that perfect shot.  Taking the family pet out of a vehicle to observe wildlife close up is extremely dangerous; this is unwanted attention, leave the family pet in the vehicle or, better yet, at home.  Therefore, if you desire to capture that perfect photo, it is imperative that you know how to view and photograph wildlife sensitively and responsibly.   Not only will you and the animal be out of harms way, but you will be rewarded with the most amazing experience and set a fine example for others.

If you have a special request, want a photo matted or framed, e-mail us at sales@timberlinephotos.com and we will see to your request.  If you would prefer to purchase a print, we accept credit cards securely through PayPal.  Just click the "Add to Cart" button, for the appropriate size  and you will be transferred to our secure PayPal site.  You do not need to join PayPal for purchases using a credit card.  Choose to purchase by other than credit card, just e-mail us at sales@timberlinephotos.com .  All photos are reproduced using either enhanced matte (preferred) or fine art paper.  If you desire another medium, i.e. watercolor or fine art canvas (gilcee') let us know.  Colors may differ slightly as viewed on your monitor.  Our digital darkroom is calibrated to exacting standards with minimal, if any, digital enhancements.
